Job Role: Manager- WRA
Reports To: AVP – Engineering & Design
Key Responsibilities
- Wind Resource Data Collection
Manage the collection of wind data using meteorological towers, remote sensing devices, and historical data sources. - Data Analysis
Analyze wind data to determine wind patterns, speed, and direction, and assess the potential for energy production. - Wind Met Mast Selection
Selection of Wind met mast with high standard sensors as per IEC standards for procurement, erection, testing and commissioning at proposed locations. - Wind Farm Layout Optimization
Collaborate with project development teams to design efficient wind farm layouts based on wind resource assessments. - Energy Production Estimation
Utilize wind data analysis to predict energy production and provide input for financial modelling and project feasibility studies. - Meteorological Models
Develop and maintain meteorological models to simulate wind conditions for different project sites. - Risk Analysis
Identify and quantify potential risks associated with wind resource uncertainty and propose mitigation strategies. - Regulatory Compliance
Ensure that wind resource assessments meet regulatory and industry standards and requirements. - Reporting and Documentation
Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation of wind resource assessments for internal and external stakeholders. - Data Management
Organize and maintain a database of wind resource data for reference in future projects. - Continuous Improvement
Stay updated on the latest wind assessment technologies and techniques to enhance the accuracy of assessments. - Wind Turbines
Knowledge of latest technology in wind turbines to select most feasible option for specific project. - Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, Electrical contractors, and equipment vendors, to ensure project requirements are met.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams during construction and commissioning phases. - Site Visits and Issue Resolution
Conduct site visits.
Work with project teams to identify issues and develop solutions. - Compliance Management
Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards. - Others
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, developments, and best practices.
Contribute to engineering innovations.
Maintain project engineering records.
Non-negotiable Skills And Abilities
- Electrical Engineering Expertise
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices, including system design, equipment selection and sizing, and safety standards.
Proficiency in wind resource assessment software and tools. Strong data analysis and modelling skills.
Knowledge of IS/IEC codes and industry practices - Software Proficiency
Knowledge of Software skills like WindPRO/WAsP, Windographer, AutoCAD, MS office, and other design software.
