Job Role: Plant Manager – O&M for 122 MWp Dhule MH
Reports To: General Manager
Direct Report: Yes (Team of Engineer, Technician & Non-Technical Manpower at site level)

Key Responsibilities
  • Performance Monitoring and Data Management
    Responsible for monitoring the performance of respective plants and managing data effectively
  • Safety
    mplementing safety measures for personnel, materials, and equipment across site. Collaborating with HSE Team to ensure installation of standard HSE Signage across the site.
  • Warranty Management
    Responsible for overseeing warranty management for all the installed equipment to ensure that warranties are effectively managed and utilized to maximize value for the organization which includes proper documentation & tracking, Registration & Activation, Monitoring & Compliances, Claim Management, Vendor Relationship.
  • Maintenance and Performance Optimization
    Responsible for Conducting timely I-V Test and IR Imaging of Solar PV Modules for conditional monitoring.
    Planning for Pre & Post Monsoon Activities and preventive maintenance to minimize major breakdowns.
    Monitoring response times for corrective measures to unscheduled breakdowns.
    Ensuring timely completion of preventive maintenance across all solar plants under cluster.
    Strong hands-on knowledge of EHV systems, including transformer field testing, relay settings, and possession of a mandatory and valid C-License from the MH State Electrical Licensing Authority.
  • Vendor Coordination, Security and Manpower Management
    Responsible for following up with OEM Vendors/Suppliers for equipment replacements under warranty claims.
    Responsible to manage gate pass, entry/exit register, visitor register, and duty timings for security guards, daily wage laborers, and technical manpower.
  • Project Handover & Takeover
    Responsible for leading the O&M team in preparing punch points, during projects handover-takeover process which includes complete set of documents, Permits & Approval from Govt Authorities, All test & calibration certificates, all As Built Drawings, Warranty Certificates and Spare Materials as per EPC Supply Terms.
  • Data Management & Analysis and Reactive Power Monitoring
    Responsible for compiling master datasheets including PV-Syst, plant generation, and other necessary details. Tracking Daily, MTD, Monthly, and YTD Loss Mapping against designed PV-Syst Losses for all IPP Solar Projects. Analyzing solar plant performance losses at all levels.
    And responsible for monitoring reactive power daily and reporting immediate deviations to the Central Team.
  • Preventive Maintenance Schedule & SCADA Oversight
    Responsible for Execution of Preventive Maintenance Schedule as per the Annual Operation Plan and O&M Scope of Work.
    And Monitoring SCADA systems in real-time and reporting any issues to the SCADA Manager for resolution.
    Responsible for preparing PM Scheduler, Annual Operation Plan, and Tracker for compliance.
    Plan Pre & Post-Monsoon preventive maintenance to avoid major breakdowns and Updating plant generation data for optimal scheduling of power to minimize DSM.
  • Continuous Improvement and Maintenance
    Analyzing the performance of Plants which are under performing and reporting to the management and site team with detailed observations with support from Performance Analyst.
    Maintaining desired plant uptime, Performance Ratio, generation, and CUF.
    Aiming to exceed desired plant uptime and Performance Ratio.
    Conducting annual testing and calibration of the Relay and Protection System.
  • Solar Energy Domain Knowledge
    Familiarity with solar energy infrastructure, including photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverters, panels, and monitoring equipment. Understanding solar irradiance, shading effects, temperature impacts, and other factors influencing energy production.
  • Guaranteed Obligation Tracking
    Responsible for tracking day-to-day tracking of guaranteed obligation with various customers or Off-takers.
  • Reports Preparation for Solar
    Prepare Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Performance Reports with summarizing details for portfolio level with support from IS Manager.
  • Risk Management
    Responsible for identifying potential risks to solar asset performance and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. This also includes monitoring equipment performance for signs of failure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing security measures to protect data and assets.
  • Stakeholder Communication
    Responsible to communicate with various stakeholders, including asset owners, investors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams, to provide updates on asset performance, address concerns, and coordinate activities.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
    Responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and timely vendor payments for all the plants.
  • Preventive Maintenance & CAPA
    Responsible for performing preventive maintenance on time, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for breakdowns. Overseeing periodic inspection and certification from CEIG, maintaining required license and calibration of ABT Meters etc.
  • Spare Planning
    Tasked with forecasting and organizing spare planning to preempt unexpected demands, ensuring prompt allocation of spares, and collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate disruptions and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monthly JMR & Monthly Energy Settlement
    Responsible for monthly JMR (Joint Meter Reading), monthly Energy settlement and issuance of GCN-Group Credit Note from MSEDCL/MSETCL Mumabi Corporate Office.

Education and Experience Required
