Role Purpose

The Senior Manager – Project Management will lead end-to-end execution and operational readiness of Sunsure Energy’s wind portfolio across multiple states, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and meeting generation performance expectations.

The role combines portfolio PMO leadership + site execution governance + contractor management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution Leadership
   • Lead execution of utility-scale wind projects from NTP to COD & HOTO.
   • Manage multi-site wind project portfolio across TN, KA, MH & RJ.
   • Drive integrated execution of:
     • WTG supply & erection
     • Civil & infra works (roads, crane pads, foundations)
     • Electrical BOP & evacuation systems
     • PSS / GSS / Transmission line integration
   • Ensure adherence to project baseline schedule, cost plan, and contractual milestones.
2. Portfolio Planning & PMO Governance
   • Develop integrated Master Project Schedule (Primavera/MSP).
   • Monitor:
     • S-curves
     • Forecast vs actual progress
     • Critical path recovery planning.
   • Conduct weekly portfolio reviews with site teams.
   • Establish standardized project reporting dashboards for management.
3. Contractor & OEM Management
   • Interface with WTG OEMs (SGRE, Suzlon, GE, Inox, Envision etc.).
   • Govern EPC contractors across cBOP / eBOP / crane packages.
   • Lead:
     • Vendor onboarding
     • Contract performance monitoring
     • Claims & change management.
   • Drive productivity improvement and construction optimization.
4. Statutory & Stakeholder Coordination
   • Coordinate with:
     • STU / CTU
     • CEIG / CEA
     • DISCOM / RLDC / SLDC
     • Local authorities & land stakeholders.
5. Schedule Recovery & Risk Management
   • Identify execution bottlenecks early.
   • Prepare mitigation & acceleration plans.
   • Manage risks related to:
     • Logistics
     • Crane mobilization
     • Land readiness
     • Grid availability
     • Monsoon & terrain constraints
6. Cost & Commercial Control
   • Monitor project CAPEX and cash flow forecasts.
   • Support budgeting, cost optimization, and variation control.
   • Validate contractor billing and milestone certification
7. Quality, Safety & ESG Compliance
   • Ensure adherence to:
     • Sunsure QHSE framework
     • IFC/ESG standards
     • Zero LTI execution culture.
   • Lead audits, NCR closure and root cause reviews
8. Commissioning & Handover
   • Drive readiness for:
     • Mechanical completion
     • Grid synchronization
     • Performance testing
     • HOTO to O&M.
   • Ensure documentation closure and asset stabilization.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech – Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering
• MBA / PGDM / Project Management certification preferred

Experience

• 12 – 18 years in Renewable Energy Projects
• Minimum 6 – 8 years in Wind Project Execution
• Experience handling multi-state wind portfolio
• Prior exposure with IPPs / OEMs / EPC players preferred
