Our mission and vision

We are on a mission to deliver high performing renewable energy assets to meet the green power demand of India’s largest commercial and industrial corporates and in turn lead the charge for creating India’s clean energy powered future. We aim to reach 5 GW of production capacity by 2028 using our expertise in solar, wind and battery storage technologies, and become India’s largest renewable independent power producer.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiation of Commercial Contract:Negotiation of wide arrange of commercial contracts including power purchase agreements, share subscription agreement, shareholders agreement
• Agreements and Document Drafting: Draft and review agreements. Create standard templates for power purchase agreements, share subscription, and shareholders agreements
• Commercial Contract Management: Manage the transaction cycle end-to-end, including legal due diligence, negotiations, signing, and post-closing matters
• Intellectual Property Management:Manage the intellectual property portfolio of the Company
• Legal Compliance and Research: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in laws, regulations, and policies Liaise with external consultants or law firms on various routine matters Provide advice on various possible litigation and risks, classification, and effective handling Support research and advise on various regulatory issues associated with renewable energy project development, including issues under the electricity act, renewable energy policy, captive regulations, and legal decisions of various courts
• Training and Guidance:Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters
• General Legal Support:Assist other functions as needed on various legal matters Provide legal advice, including general commercial legal advice, and render legal support to management and all business units and corporate departments

Non-negotiable technical skills and abilities

• Stay informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in laws, regulations, and policies
• Experience with Law Firm: Prior experience of working at a law firm or as an in-house counsel in the Energy sector
• Relevant Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to Companies Act, FEMA and the Energy sector
• Others: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

Education and experience required

• Education: B.A L.L.B from an accredited law school in India
• Experience: Prior experience of working at a law firm or as an in-house counsel in the Energy sector 8-12yrs experience
