The Union government has set a goal to install 25 lakh solar systems in households in Tamil Nadu under the PM Surya Ghar Scheme from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025. However, the response from consumers has been disappointing, with only 70,122 registrations so far which is just 2.8% of the target.
