The agreement marks LGE India’s first captive renewable energy project in India
Noida — [25th March, 2026] — Sunsure Energy, India’s preferred Round-the-Clock renewable energy solutions provider for leading businesses and utilities, has signed a 11 MWp long-term solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with LGE India, India’s leading consumer electronics brand, in Uttar Pradesh to supply solar power to its facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The agreement will enable LGE India to utilize the power supplied by Sunsure to power their factory operations, enabling them to source 30% of their power consumption through renewable energy, taking their total renewable energy consumption for their facility to 50%. Sunsure will supply this power from their 82.5 MWp solar plant in Erach, U.P.
The agreement marks LGE India Limited’s first captive renewable energy project in India and its first strategic equity investment in an Indian special purpose vehicle (SPV) for power generation. This milestone underscores LG India’s long-term commitment to renewable energy adoption and reflects a high degree of confidence in Sunsure Energy’s development capabilities, governance standards, and execution track record. Through the agreement, Sunsure will be supplying 1.6 Crore units of clean power annually to LG India’s Greater Noida factory helping them offset 3 Lac metric tonnes of CO2e over the project lifetime.
